This site provides free access to the full text of the report by the Home Affairs committee which was published as HC 23-I session 2008-9 in May 2009 . The 90 page report critically examines the nature and extent of human trafficking in modern Britain. Topics covered include: sex trade trafficking; trafficking in women and children, domestic labour servants and the modern ’slave trade’. It considers how human trafficking can be prevented, policed and current practices for identifying and protecting victims. Reference is also made to international legislation.
